TUSLA Registration

Under the new regulations, Childminders are required to register with Tusla by applying through the TUSLA online portal.

To be eligible to register you must be at least 18 years old, self-employed, and providing paid childcare in your own home. You can find out more in TUSLA’s Frequently Asked Questions

Prior to submitting an application you need to complete the mandatory pre-registration training course which is organised by your local City/County Childcare Committee. You will also be required to have completed First Aid training which may be organised by your local CCC and the Introduction to Child First E-learning Programme
